Q: How long will it take me to install a Lift King LK800 garage door opener?
A: It depends on your DIY skills, but it normally takes one or two hours after unpacking and reading the instructions. A second set of hands is always useful to help hold items in place while securing.
Q: Is my garage door suitable for automation?
A: The Lift King LK800 garage door opener will open all types of garage doors. Single and Double garage doors as well as hinged and sectional garage doors can be opened using the Lift King LK800.

Please note that all door types must be in good working order and balanced correctly, according to the door manufacturer's specification, before fitting an opener. As a rule by thumb if the door opens easily and smoothly then it is suitable for automation using the Lift King LK800.
Q: Can I open two or more garage doors from the same remote?
A: Yes, you can program your remote to open more than one garage door. Your other garage door must have the same same type of receiver board, if not you can purchase a universal receiver which will solve this problem.
Q: Can I operate my electric gates from the same remote as my garage door?
A: Yes, you can program your remotes to open your electric gate as well as your garage door. Your gate opener must have the same receiver board, if not you can purchase a universal receiver which will solve this problem.
Q: If there is a power failure will I be able to open my garage door?
A: The garage door can be opened manually from the inside. If there is no other entrance to your garage, then you will require an Emergency Lock Release Kit. This allows you, via key, to disable the lock on your opener to allow for manual operation.
